Fun Day

Today's day was a little different than my normal days, because my day started earlier by hanging out with Soy and Deidra's youngest girl this morning. Let me tell you if you have ever been around this girl, you know how she is. She is the sweetest and funniest kid you'll ever meet. Hanging out with her this morning was so fun, we played with kittens, did arts and crafts, ate breakfast and watched the Today Show together. I love spending time with them and their kid's and they have made this first week so much easier. After I got to spend some time with her, I headed down to the feeding center to help set up for the kids coming. I was really worried about today because all of the people that could speak English weren't there today, but that didn't stop today from being an amazing day. Even with the language barrier me and the other teacher had a blast. We laughed at each other, tried to understand each other, used plenty of google translate and I think I can say with confidence that after today I know a little more Spanish and she knows a little bit more English. The Lord has definitely blessed the feeding center with workers who have a big heart and who want to take care of the kid's physical needs as well as their spiritual needs. At the end of the day we can feed a kid and help them with their homework, but the real blessing they are receiving is Jesus, and that's that. After that I spent my first evening here in my apartment by myself, and got in some much needed rest time. I know this is one of the shorter posts, but I'll fill y'all in a lot more this weekend in ways I can already see God moving, not only here in Guatemala, but in me. I love you guys.
