God's Timing. Perfect.

Today was a day that I needed in many ways. Today I got to hang out with some pretty cool people. The group staying at the mission house this week invited me to tag along with them today to church. It took us about an hour to get to church and when we got there the pastor's family greeted us with open arms and the biggest smiles you have ever seen. We went to the church service, which was so powerful, and even though there were some parts that I couldn't fully understand, I could definitely feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in that church, and He was moving for sure. After church the pastor and his entire family invited us to eat lunch with them. (keep in mind there are over 30 of us Americans) They had tables and chairs and decorations all set out and ready for us to be there, and they fixed us a bowl of soup and some tortilla type thing, and we all sat there and enjoyed the meal. It was delicious, everything in the soup was fresh and the flavors blending together so well. After we finished dinner we got to sing happy birthday and ate birthday cake to celebrate two people in our groups birthday's. They bought us four beautiful cakes with fruit layered all of the top, and let me tell you, we tore those cakes up. They went out of their way to serve us and wow what a blessing that was to us. They don't have much, but they gave to us more than we deserved and blessed us all. But tonight was the time where I saw that God's timing is perfect. The same group of people were all sitting upstairs in the mission house discussing how God was moving on this trip, and the common factor in many people's story was God's timing. One person started telling their story about God's timing in their life, and then another person, and another, and another. Well, about that time everything clicked for me. I'm not gonna lie, being here for two months scares me, just because I'm out of my comfort zone and away from my normal routine and my family. Just being with these people today helped me to realize that God's timing is perfect and every single person in that room have ministered to me more than they will ever know. Just having someone be intentional in talking to me about my journey and encourage me was what I needed in that moment. I have known these people for only about 24 hours, but each of them holds a special place in my heart. God timed this whole day perfectly. He put people in my path to encourage me and challenge me. God knew that today I needed that encouragement and His timing was perfect. I am so looking forward to all the relationships I will make with people while I am down here, but this group of people is special to me, and they will never know the impact that they have made in my life in such a short period of time. Looking back at today's events, I would like to encourage each of you. God's timing is perfect, it may not be our timing, but everything will be revealed in His timing not ours, so prayer and patience are the two major factors to help in listening and determining what God is saying to you, and more importantly WHEN He says it.

Reflections

As I am back at home and almost all settled back in, I cannot help but sit back and reflect on this summer. It has been nothing short of phenomenal. It blows my mind that the same God who loves me all
